Selling bottled emotions with 12 year olds

The Ministry of Stories run creative writing workshops for young people.
That could involve writing stories, poetry, songs, plays, sitcoms, and beyond.

For this particular 6-week workshop, a class of Year 7 kids were given
the task of selling different bottled emotions that had been found in the
dark, dusty cellar of the Hoxton Street Monster Supplies store.

I was there every week as the in-house copywriter, to explain how I might
take on a specific task (like taglines and slogans, or techniques I'd use on
packaging) and show that there is a world outside the classroom where
people write things for well-known brands as a living.

Go back to my projects.
