SOAS, the School of Oriental and African Studies, saw that the student section
of their website was in serious need of revamping. But it was no easy task -
there was tons of information that had been uploaded over time with no real
guidelines, and it all needed to be sorted into a more logical, easy to navigate way.
They brought me in as web author to orchestrate a massive re-writing of the
content, plus rethinking the architecture, and liaising with all the people in
charge of that content, making sure it was all factually correct.
I worked with the university for two solid months - and became self-entitled
Queen of CMS in the process. The result is a clearer, more web-friendly website
so students can get what they need without searching too hard.
